​Sola Meritage

​This Meritage is a blend of Cabernet and Merlot. It has aromas of cedar, herbs and a hint of mint. the palate may sense flavors of cherry and raspberry. I find it to be medium bodied with mild tannins. This is a good Meritage for under $18.

Gran Passione Rosso

Wow! I stumbled onto  this Gran Passione Rosso in a fun way. One day in a wine store in Portland Oregon, I over heard the shop owner sharing about  this wine with a customer and I became intrigued. This wine is produced just like Amarone, by drying the grapes before they crush them. You will find flavors of black berry and black raspberries with soft tannins. Friends, this wine is totally awesome and one of my favorites, as a good Amarone usually cost $40 and up. This is where this wine I believe qualifies as a Best Bang for Your Buck because it can be purchased for under $17.99 at most retailers.

Bogle Red Blend

Bogle has delivered again one highly rated red blend. Bogle Essential Red is a blend of Cabernet, Petite Syrah, Syrah and Zinfandel. The combination of these hardy grapes bring about a full bodied wine with flavors of dark berries and plum with notes of tobacco,cedar and a hint of cocoa. Talk about a Best Bang for your Buck, I found this wine recently for under $10.
