Tempranillo Wines

Venta Morales Tempranillo

For the shelf price, this wine is personally and financially satisfying, but for the seeker of the true enjoyment of a Tempranillo, to absorb the centuries old wine wisdom of La Mancha and Rioja, it is a modicum disappointing.

It has a notably smooth texture, with an aromatic start and free flowing velvety ribbons on the tongue mingling with sugars and ripe strawberries.
It is still complementary to the nose as well as the subsequent sips, but lacking some depth and acidic edges from the traditional red fruits and white sugars you would find in a Tempranillo.

A great wine for the price, no doubt, but the back end is, in my opinion, a little shy on the intrinsic notes of Tempranillo from the same region.

Zaco Tempranillo

Wow talk about a big 100% Tempranillo. It has an intense color of dark cherry with hints of violet with slight floral and licorice aromas. Notes of tart cherry, black berry and a bit of spice. Priced under $15.
